The Mission
Palomar Health helped countless people through the pandemic, and as they expanded, the CEO wanted to rebrand the hospital to something more standout. She wanted an identity that felt memorable, warm, and confident.
They had little direction. So they called Integrated Signs to build something fresh and from scratch. Something that complemented the hospital’s mission and made people feel “Yes, I’m in the right place.”
Strategy & Design
With just a few hints to go on, our design team stepped in. Simplicity, elegance, readability – these were the cornerstones.
We sketched concepts, refined shapes, and explored lighting so the sign would glow softly and clearly. We aimed for something that felt like a beacon that was welcoming, reassuring, and not over-the-top.
Building It Right
The final products were monument signs made from all-white glass. Here’s how it worked:
- Strong frame of aluminum
- Solid concrete base for stability
- Stainless‑steel rods anchored at key points – four for each panel side
- Glass panels slid onto those rods and secured with decorative “pucks”
Inside, we divided each section so lighting was even with no dark corners or blotches. We used hidden baffles to divide lighting zones, making sure that when the sign lit up, it looked smooth and bright from every side.
Installation & Reveal
Once built, we transported and assembled on site with precision. The installation had to sit right with everything aligned, steady, and glowing evenly. The lighting system got tested. Everything scored tight margins, straight lines, and a perfect finish.
Outcome
Now, every Palomar Health location with these signs is unmistakable.
From dusk to dawn, the sign glows bright, pure, and inviting. People arriving get a clear signal: you’re here. You matter. You’re with a place that cares.
It became something more than signage – it’s a symbol of care, presence and pride.
